Wowie De Guzman Became The Best Solo Parent To HIs Daughter After A Sudden Death Of His Wife

Jeffrey Camangyan (born September 22, 1976), better known as Wowie de Guzman, is a dancer and a stage, film and TV actor in the Philippines.

He was one of the top matinee idols from the 1990s. His break came as a member of dance group Universal Motion Dancers (UMD). He was nominated as Best Actor for FAMAS Award 1998 in Paano Ang Puso Ko?.

He married his non-showbiz girlfriend Sheryl Ann Reyes in 2013. Unfortunately, Reyes died on April 26, 2014, at the age of 26, two months after giving birth to their first child.

Despite the heartbreak caused by the loss of his wife, Wowie de Guzman has remained strong and has become the best father that he can be for his daughter Raff.

Raising a child single-handedly has been sure tough, but Wowie has strived to overcome the challenges for the future of Raff. Truly, nothing can match the love of a father for his daughter.

He was the first love team of Judy Ann Santos. The Juday-Wowie love team became the number one screen tandem in the mid to late ’90s. His break came as a member of dance group Universal Motion Dancers (UMD)

“Sobrang bilis talaga, eh.

Tinry kong i-mouth-to-mouth. Kaya lang, wala talaga, eh.”

He also recounted how he rushed her to the hospital, where doctors tried in vain to revive his wife.

Kaya lang, siguro talagang hanggang doon lang siguro. Hindi na nila nagawan ng paraan. Wala kaming magagawa.”

After several years of agony without his wife, Wowie drew strength and inspiration from his daughter Raff. He chose to focus on his daughter than coming back to showbiz! He looks so happy with his choice.

These pictures show how Wowie overcome the sadness and longing and how great and undying love he has for his daughter.

Losing a wife is not just losing a partner in life. But what’s harder is a child losing a mother. Wowie just showed how he loves her child more than he loves himself by choosing her than his career.
